Our Experienced Team
The Franchisor is represented by personnel who are
experienced, knowledgeable and proficient in Mediterranean Taste's
business systems and operations. A Mediterranean Taste team member
works closely with Hedi to manage and support the Franchisees. This
team member has an in-depth working knowledge of the business, and
can both answer general queries and advise within specialised areas
of expertise.
Mediterranean Taste is proudly owned by Hedi Zorgati. Hedi is a
Tunisian-born businessman who has resided in New Zealand for many
years. Hedi's entrepreneurial skill have enabled him to set up
several food businesses in Christchurch City, as a chef and cafe
owner.
On arrival in New Zealand Hedi worked as a chef in a Morroccan cafe
in Wellington. Several years later he arrived in Christchurch and
entered into partnership in another food industry. However, Hedi's
determination and passion for healthy, authentic, freshly cooked
Mediterranean food using exotic flavours originating from Taste
concept. Hedi's business acumen and his credibility have earned him
the opportunity to open Mediterranean Taste in the South City Mall.
Hed Zorgati is involved in all day-to-day functions of the business,
from the behind-the-scenes business management to frontline cooking
for and serving the customers. He has established a standard of
service that can be described as "exceptional", earning him a
healthy repeat customer base.
Azizah Zorgati is a key part of the Mediterranean Taste husband and
wife team. originally from Singapore, Azizah gained a Diploma in
Accountancy and Taxation. After arrival in New Zealand, she attained
a Bachelor of Commerce and Management degree from Lincoln
University, and has particially qualified to be an accountant, with
professional exam results in ICANZ. This enabled her to work as an
Assistant Accountant within the food manufacturing and distribution
sector. Azizah supports Hedi within Mediterranean Taste from an
administrative veiwpoint, Undertaking tasks that are more easily
managed by her while Hedi is onsite. She is fully versed in all
aspects of the business, so her knowledge will be invaluable to all
Franchisees.
